STRUCTURAL GRADE SOFTWOOD
CRAFT has chosen Canadian Spruce as the material for all structural components of its engineered flooring. The advantages of Canadian Spruce are many. First and foremost, all our structural lumber comes from northern temperate forests, meaning that the spruce trees grow in a cold climate characterized by a shorter growing season, resulting in wood that has a tighter ring density with stronger characteristics than other softwood species grown in warmer climates. Furthermore, our structural grade Canadian Spruce is considered to be a highly valued renewable resource since it is harvested from responsibly managed Canadian forests where emphasis is placed on environmentally supportive forestry practices with emphasis towards a sustainable future.
