Eucalyptus
PEFC certified multi-ply hardwood core
CRAFT has chosen a premium Eucalyptus multi-ply core as the structural platform for our engineered flooring. Grown in managed plantations in Thailand, Eucalyptus is a rapidly renewable species known for its efficient growth cycle, high yield, and responsible use of land.
From a sustainability standpoint, Eucalyptus helps reduce pressure on slower-growing hardwood forests while supporting local farmers, as it can thrive on land that may be unsuitable for traditional crops. This makes it both a practical and responsible material choice.
From a performance standpoint, Eucalyptus offers excellent structural benefits. When properly dried and manufactured into a multi-ply core, it provides strong dimensional stability with minimal warping or twisting compared to many other hardwoods. Its natural density, strength, and resistance to humidity, decay, and insect penetration make it a highly durable core material.
With its dense, stable composition, Eucalyptus provides a strong and reliable structural foundation for CRAFT engineered floors.
