Select Northern Oak is a proprietary wood grade, unique in the flooring industry for its consistency, its beautiful appearance, and its strictly controlled hand selection. Native to the cooler climates of the Northwestern United States, this premium hardwood exhibits beautiful, light coloration and is available in exceptionally wide widths and long lengths.

What makes CRAFT’s Select Northern Oak so unique is the extra care that goes into the process of hand-selecting each and every piece of lumber for our flooring. Within this species, some boards naturally exhibit a tighter, more refined grain pattern, while others show the more open cathedral grain traditionally associated with this wood species. Careful sorting of the wood and selecting for only the finest and most attractive grain patterns allows CRAFT to achieve an elevated appearance that is well suited to modern interiors.

CRAFT’s Select Northern Oak program relies heavily on the long-standing relationships it has developed with trusted lumber suppliers in the Northeastern United States.
