Q: Why did you chose CRAFT Montiel walnut for your home?
A: Through our experience with previous custom built homes we gained a lot of knowledge about different wood species and flooring types. We’ve come to realize that black walnut is probably the most beautiful and high-end hardwood species available. We fell in love with your Montiel floor because it so beautifully fits our classic design vision. We love how it pairs with our homes’ high ceilings and elegant lighting.

Q: What are your favourite home features, and is there anything you’d like to share on the goals/purpose of your living space?
A: The heart of our home is our open kitchen, dining, and great room space.
The kitchen is an important family gathering space for us, and since it can be viewed from the living and dining rooms. Our large walk-in spice kitchen is very functional and useful.
Q: How would you describe your satisfaction with your new floor?
A: We are extremely satisfied and appreciate its major role in the look of our finished home.
We are really pleased that we opted for a glue-down installation over an in-floor heating system. It feels so luxurious and solid when walking on it. We get a lot of compliments on our floor whenever we have people visit us.
The importance of plank width:
Plank widths can greatly affect the look of a floor. Wider planks result in fewer board seams and create a look that is both cleaner and more uniform.
